Acceptable use
Effective October 12, 2026
These rules apply to use of the Ultrasearch website and Windows application.
Allowed use
Use Ultrasearch only for lawful purposes and with files, devices, accounts, and networks you own or are authorized to use. You are responsible for the content you submit and for obtaining any permission required before submitting another person's personal information or files for processing.
Not allowed
- Breaking the law or helping others to do so.
- Accessing files, accounts, or networks without permission.
- Distributing malware, or using the service to attack other systems.
- Interfering with the service, its queue, or other users.
- Reselling access or sharing an account with people outside your household or organization.
- Using AI output to make a high-impact decision about a person without the review, safeguards, and legal basis required for that decision.
Enforcement
We may restrict or suspend accounts as reasonably necessary to address a serious or repeated violation, fraud, a security risk, or a legal requirement. Where practical and lawful, we will explain the reason and allow a response.
Report a problem
If you see misuse of Ultrasearch, use the public contact form to tell us. Do not include anyone else's private information unless it is needed to investigate.
This policy does not replace laws that apply to your use of the service.
